A summer house gives you a room in the garden you can sit in rather than just store things in. Ours has a 1ft canopy over the front to keep the sun off and the rain away from the doors, and plenty of height inside at 7ft to the ridge and 6ft at the eaves.
Two styles
Dip treated: full 12mm tongue and groove in a red cedar colour, cottage style windows and French doors with antique style furniture. It has a lovely traditional look and it’s the lower price. It comes in 17 sizes from 6×4 to 10×10.
Pressure treated (Cheshire style): tanalised tongue and groove with full length glazed doors, three quarter length front windows and toughened glass, so it’s really bright inside. It has our 10 year guarantee against rot, and comes in 14 sizes from 7×4 to 10×8. This one also has the option of a vapour barrier if you’re thinking of insulating it.

Days to installation
Built to order, then we ring you to agree an installation day. Our own installers bring everything and take the packaging away.
Dip or pressure treated?
Dip treated suits a sheltered garden where the shed stores the mower and bins.
Pressure treated suits a shed you'll open most weeks, and it's the build that carries the 10-year rot guarantee.
Planning permission
Usually not needed if the shed is in the back garden, single storey and no more than 2.5m to the eaves.

About this shed
What's the difference between the two styles?
The dip treated one has cottage style windows and French doors and a traditional look. The pressure treated Cheshire style has full length glazed doors and bigger windows with toughened glass, so it's brighter, and it has our 10 year guarantee against rot.
Why are the sizes different for each timber?
The dip treated style comes in 17 sizes up to 10×10, the pressure treated in 14 sizes up to 10×8. The size list changes to show what's made in the timber you pick.
Is the glass safe?
The pressure treated Cheshire style uses toughened glass in the doors and windows. If you've got little ones, that's the one we'd go for.
Can I use it all year round?
As it comes, it's best from spring to autumn. If you want to use it in winter, the pressure treated version can have a vapour barrier, which makes it much easier to insulate and line.
Do I need planning permission?
Usually not. It's single storey and the eaves are well under 2.5m. You can't put a bed in it to sleep in though, that would need permission.
What base does it need?
A solid, level base. If your ground isn't level, our combi base is the easy option.
How do I look after it?
Treat the dip treated one every year or so. The pressure treated one only needs a water repellent within the first couple of years. Keep the area round it clear so it can breathe.
